August 9th, 2001 A peaceful gathering was taking place next to the Justice Palace - Beirut, Lebanon - protesting against the mass arrests of Tuesday August 7th.

Suddenly, and in a well-planned manner, agents in civil clothing infiltrated the gathering, provoked disputes by hitting arbitrarily the protesters, then followed each of them individually and attacked them with an unprecedented brutality, injuring many and arresting others.

Demonstrators asked for the help of the Internal Security Forces to stop the carnage, they remained still. An agent has just smacked one of their officers.

Of course the So-Called Government has “promised” efforts to apply justice, but needless to say that those agents are hired by that same government.

While many of those agents have been recognized and located, others remain unknown.

This page is a part of our continuous effort to identify and remember the faces of the brutal collaborators, making sure that history remembers.
